Lutonians boss wants greater intensity and tempo

After a successful start to their league campaign, with four wins out of four, Luton have announced three changes to their starting line-up for their away game against Bishop's Stortford on Saturday, kick-off 3pm.

Bedford Academy player Tom Wilmore starts at scrum-half, Pepe Nanci at full-back and Terry Cooper returns from injury at number eight.

Duncan Chubb, recently arrived from Australia, is on the bench. Chubb, a young Aussie prop, has been playing in the New South Wales Premiership competition in Sydney for Southern Districts Rugby Club.

Bishop's Stortford have had a mixed start to the season. They beat North Walsham 26-17 and Barnes 22-21 in their first two games and were unlucky to lose 17-12 to Shelford before losing heavily to Old Albanians last week 24-6.

Director of Rugby Denis Ormesher said: "Stortford will be a tough challenge. They were very unlucky to lose to Shelford and they always play an expansive game of rugby at home.

"Whilst we won last week we did not play as well as we should have done. I was disappointed that we did not move the big Portsmouth pack around more to tire them out. We played into their hands by attacking close in, rather than wider out.

"Training this week has again focussed on increasing the intensity in the contact area and increasing the overall tempo of the game."

Luton: 1 Michael Ormesher, 2 Andrew Lake, 3 Keni Barrett, 4 Dane Grey, 5 Liam Lancaster, 6 Andy Davey, 7 Will Temperley, 8 Terry Cooper, 9 Tom Wilmore, 10 Richard Woodard, 11 Scott Hills, 12 Matt Allen (C), 13 Zanda Peden, 14 Mark Kohler, 15 Pepe Nanci. Subs: 16 Duncan Chubb, 17 John Robinson, 18 Luici Nanci.

Today's Vote

Should worldwide tours of the Olympic flame be abandoned to stop giving protestors an easy target
Yes, it's a pointless stunt anyway and would not be missed
No, you can't give in to bully tactics from any quarter
Bring on more protests, they are more entertaining than the sport
