In the U13 girls shot, Paige Cole came out on top with 8.26m, while in the senior women's hammer, Suzanna Wise and Shannon Bunker sealed a Luton one-two with throws of 38.94m and 35.25m respectively.

Another Luton one-two came in the senior men's 100m where Kyle Andrew, 11.21secs, won from Mark Collins, 11.37secs.

Andrew also took the 200m in a time of 23.22secs.

Other Luton victories came from Shaquille Thomas (U13 boys 75m hurdles), David Reynolds (U15 boys triple jump), John McDonnell (U17 men's 800m) and Craig Andrew (U20 men's long jump).

Today's Vote

Should worldwide tours of the Olympic flame be abandoned to stop giving protestors an easy target
Yes, it's a pointless stunt anyway and would not be missed
No, you can't give in to bully tactics from any quarter
Bring on more protests, they are more entertaining than the sport
