Penalty shootout hero Conrad Logan was beaming from ear to ear with delight after helping to defeat Brentford in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday night.
The on-loan Leicester City stopper produced several fine saves during normal time to help the Hatters draw 2-2, before twice saving from the spot.
He said: "It's always great to win, especially on penalties and to save a couple.
"It's pot luck. It depends who you are up against and you have got to try and think where they are going by their run up.
"To be honest, first half I didn't think we were up to scratch. Second half we created a few chances and were unlucky and showed good character to come back from 2-0 down."
However, he was disappointed by the two goals he conceded and admits Town's defence needs to improve after dropping two clangers in their last two games.
Logan said: "The first goal he has hit it and it's moved a bit.
"At Bradford we had chances to clear it and tonight the second goal we had the chance to clear it but, if we freshen up with that, we are still quite a young back four. When you make a mistake like that you learn from it.
"We want to be keeping it nice and tight at the back and winning and keeping clean sheets.
"We improved second half and just wanted to keep a clean sheet. We showed good character and had good chances to nick it at the end."
On-loan Norwich City striker Chris Martin, meanwhile, was keen to stress that he netted both goals in Town's fightback after confusion about who got Luton's first.
He said: "It's my goal. Everyone is trying to say it came off Asa. I think he was standing right behind me, hopefully everyone should see that on the replay. We didn't start too well. The lads showed a bit of spirit and we deserved to win with the chances we created and the football we played."
And he admitted team-mate Michael Spillane was glad Martin's strikes helped to save his blushes after being at fault for the second goal.
Martin said: "He was just saying he has got out of jail free twice in a week. He got himself out with his header at Bradford and said thank you after I scored as well."
And Martin admitted he too was a relieved man when his penalty went in.
He added: "I was a bit worried when I hit it as I saw the keeper go the same way. I was glad to see it go in and glad to be in the next round."
