Loyal loan striker Tom Craddock has revealed that he'd love to extend his stay at Kenilworth Road.

The 22-year-old Middlesbrough striker has seen his appearances in a Hatters shirt restricted by a groin injury, but has spoken of his desire to help continue Luton's revival.

Craddock admitted there had been interest from several other clubs, including ones in League One, but had his heart set on repaying the Hatters.

He said: "I will be honest with you, I absolutely love it here. I got the opportunity to come down and play some games and score some goal. It's worked out well for both parties.

"There was a little bit of interest from another couple of teams, but I felt as though I owed something to the gaffer and the club and the lads for helping me settle in.

"I just wanted to get back down here and help the lads get out of the points total we are on."

Craddock, who is now in the third month of his loan spell, revealed he would love to stay but may be prevented from doing so.

He said: "I would like to stay for longer, but the rules say you can only stay at one club for three months. But it's whatever the rules allow."

The young striker is now fully recovered from his groin injury after spells at Lilleshall and Middlesbrough and admitted he is glad to not have to do any more rehabilitation work.

He said: "I hurt myself in the Walsall game, but I stayed on when I should really have come off.

"I tried to come back for the Rochdale game, but I tried to come back too early and tore it again.

"I was at Lilleshall for two weeks. I got a lot of good rehab in, but it was quite boring."

And he is relishing Luton's attacking new style, even though he is still getting used to his position on the right.

He said: "I think this 4-3-3 formations seems to be working. When we play we seem to have more men back defending and more men going forward.

"I'm not used to it on the right but I'm there to do my job for the team."

He also had praise for striker partner Chris Martin or scored twice on Sunday and said the form of Town's forward line is keeping all the strikers on their toes.

Craddock added: "Chris Martin was on the bench on Boxing Day and he came in and scored two goals and gave the gaffer a big headache. I know from a personal point of view you need to keep up your performances at a high level or you are going to be out of the team."
