Frontman not fussed about scoring drought

Believing in yourself and staying focused are key for a goalscorer going through a barren patch according to striker Tom Craddock.

The former Middlesbrough man scored his first goal since mid-October and his first goal from open play in 14 games when he netted Town's opener in Saturday's 2-0 defeat of Grays Athletic.

And he revealed he wasn't worried about his lean streak as chances were still coming his way.

The 23-year-old said: "I'm a goalscorer. I always want to score goals, but I knew I was getting in the positions. I would have been more worried if I wasn't getting in those positions.

"You just need to keep believing in yourself, go out and train hard, keep a clear head and stay focused."

Craddock has been out of luck in recent weeks, having several good chances saved and having perfectly good goals wrongly ruled out – like in the 2-0 defeat against Rushden & Diamonds.

He continued: "That's how it goes when you play up front. Sometimes the luck goes for you and sometimes it doesn't."
And he has been impressed with the way Luton have been playing of late and is hoping to keep his place in the side.

Craddock said: "The team is playing very well. We had two games against a very good Rochdale side and over the two games we more than matched them.

"I was disappointed not to start last week, but came on and nearly scored. If you are in possession of the jersey and play well hopefully you will start the next game."
