Crawley Green striker nets for England Schools

There was Wembley glory for young Crawley Green striker Danny Watson who scored as a second half substitute for England Schools last Saturday.

Watson, who is the club's leading scorer with 18 goals this term, scored just 10 minutes into his Wembley debut to send the 100 club members who had travelled up for the match into a state of delirium.

With England 1-0 up against Scotland Schools, Watson was introduced into the action midway through the second half and wasted no time in making a real impact.

Scotland failed to clear a corner and Watson was on hand to thrash the ball past Scottish keeper Connor O'Boyle to virtually seal the match.
Watson certainly helped to enliven the game with his all-action display and nearly added to his tally with a shot late in the game.

Watson is the first ever Crawley player to represent his country and to have played at the new Wembley.

Today's Vote

Should worldwide tours of the Olympic flame be abandoned to stop giving protestors an easy target
Yes, it's a pointless stunt anyway and would not be missed
No, you can't give in to bully tactics from any quarter
Bring on more protests, they are more entertaining than the sport
