Luton Schools' FA sides triumphant

Both Luton Schools' FA's U13 and U11 teams celebrated victory at the weekend. The U13s scored a 1-0 victory against North Leicestershire Schools. Luton battled to an impressive win in their East Midlands League game, in which both goalkeepers made a number of fine saves.

Matthew Kirby-Daniels and Dereece O'Callaghan were both outstanding in Luton's defence and they claimed victory with 15 minutes left when Scott Denton worked a clever one-two with Jerome Lowe before firing home.

The U11s, meanwhile, beat St Albans' Schools 3-1 as they recorded their second consecutive Berkshire League victory with an excellent performance. Jacob Younger scored two goals and Henry Niven the other as Luton tore the visitors apart with some scintillating football.

In the second round of the Beds County Cup, Dunstable Town Youth U15s defeated Woburn Lions 2-1 with goals from Andrew Burrough and Jack Parker, while Dunstable Town Icknield B beat Ampthill Aragon 4-1 with goals from Ashley Hatton, Alan Morris (2) and Harry Stack.

A hat-trick from Davy Card and a goal from Carl Tofts helped Luton Social Youth to a 4-1 victory at Marsh Farm Youth in U17 Division One of the Chiltern Youth League, while Dunstable Town Youth beat Caddington 3-1 with goals from Luke Jackaman, Keith Clarrey and Jake Bewley.

In U14 Division One, Mason Janes' goal couldn't stop Dunstable Town Youth slipping to a 7-1 home defeat to Barnfield Colts, while in Division Two Dunstable's B team beat Luton Borough 8-1 with Luke Loughnane and Jordan Beagarie both hitting hat-tricks and Jack Ainsworth and Oliver England netting the others.

Dunstable Town Youth U13s eased to a 5-1 home win against AFC Shillington in Division Six, Jake Brammer netting a treble and Josh Butler and Ellis Hatch scoring one each.

In U11 Division Three, Dunstable Town Youth succumbed to a 3-0 home defeat to Samba FC, while in Division Four Brache Sparta, under new manager Nigel O'Hanlon, won 8-1 at EB Lions. Levi Stephen hit a hat-trick, there were braces for man of the match Derrin Kiernan and Harry Skinner and a goal for Reece Boutwood.

AFC Luton, meanwhile, won 7-1 at Langford Youth in Division Four, Carl Chambers firing a treble, Nathan Curniffe netting twice and Darren Devine and Reece Powell getting one each.

In the Filmergraphics Mini Soccer League, Dunstable Town Youth U10s beat Toddington Rovers 1-0 in Division One, thanks to Liam Barker's goal, while Dunstable Town Icknield thumped Stevenage Borough A 6-2 with goals from Jack Thompson (2), Jack Cook, Jake Johnstone, Jamie Stancombe and Ben Clarke.

AFC Dunstable won 4-2 at AFC Kempston Colts in Division Two. AFC continued their unbeaten start to the season with a hard fought victory thanks to two goals from Corey Francis, a header from Ben Wright and a close range finish from Joe Church to go top of division for the first time.

In U9 Division One, Dunstable Town Youth lost 3-0 at home to Flitwick Eagles, while Dunstable Town Icknield triumphed 2-1 at Toddington Rovers B in Division Three with strikes from John Taylor and Louis Pepper.

Dunstable Town Youth U10s edged to a 1-0 victory against Crawley Green Thistle in Division One of the Chiltern Junior Sevens League. Oliver Richardson scored the decisive goal with free-kick into the top corner.

Luton Borough Dragons Whites ended Barton Rovers three-season proud unbeaten run. In a classic encounter the Dragons claimed maximum points, as they came back from 1-0 down at half time to win 2 -1. The Dragons' goals came from Nathan Bangs and Liam Jarvis, while a combination of the woodwork and good goalkeeping helped to keep the score down.

Sacred Heart Emeralds turned in another good performance to triumph 3-1 at AFC Luton. Having been deducted two point points by the league for late payment of fines, Emeralds bounced back to win with goals from Aidan Fowler, Jack Martin and Stephen Shadlow. Shane Fennelly was named man of the match for his tireless work in midfield, while Luke Hill, celebrating his 10th birthday, also had a great game at right-back

Brache Sparta kept up their 100 record in Division Five with a 6-3 victory over St Martins Whites. There was a second hat-trick of the season for A Rehman and goals from J Ellis, S Compton and O Baker, as Brache moved back to the top of the table.

AFC Luton A U9s lost their League Cup game against Eaton Bray Lions Reds 4-1, AFC's goal coming from Ben Lockwood.

In Division Two, AFC Luton B came from 2-0 down to win 4-2 against Memorial Park. A hat-trick from Ajay Sookraj and a goal from Cameron Collins preserved AFC's 100 per cent start, while Luca Deon was named their player of match.

Square Rangers U14s scored a fine 6-4 win against Southcott Owls in the South Beds Saturday League. Joe Evans scored twice for Square alongside strikes from Josh Sckelcy, Jonny Clarke, Jack Sullivan and Jake Gill, while Sam Waterhouse (2), Michael Hearn and Brian Foulger were on target for the Owls.

In the U12 Division, Barton Rovers beat Bromham Bullets 4-1 with goals from R Alan (2), A Bailey and R Le Vien, Bushmead Rovers defeated Riverfield 4-2 thanks to strikes from Harris, Temple and Hogan, plus an own goal, Oldhill Juniors lost 4-0 to Leighton United and Templefield Old Boys lost 4-1 to Watling Blacks, despite a goal from K Wilding. J Arch and man of the match L Whitby both scored twice for Templefield.

Luton Borough went down 5-4 at Leighton Corinthians in the U11 Division, while goals from Prophet and Cox earned Southcott Owls a 2-1 victory against Lewsey.
