Jesse Pye scored the equaliser that earned a replay at Kenilworth Road on February 4 that Hatters won 5-1 with a hat-trick from Gordon Turner, a goal from Bert Mitchell and an own goal by City full back Little.The Town team at Maine Road was: Baynham, Jones, Aherne, Morton, Hall, Shanks, Cullen, Moore, Pye, Watkins, Mitchell. Turner replaced Shanks in the replay.
