The English and Scottish CWS opened a cocoa factory in Dallow Road, Luton, in 1902. It stood on the site of what is now the Guardian Business Park, near the junction with Vernon Road, for nearly 60 years. In November 1951 The Luton News sent a photographer to record the production lines at the factory which included chocolates among its products. These are some of those images.
























By January 1970 the cocoa factory building was being demolished. Here are two views from the top of the factory chimney as work began to knock it down.
