A celebration event ‘The Robin Hood Feast’ was held by the Luton Council of Faiths and Grassroots Programme after a successful year of the Community Archery Project called “On Target with Faith Communities for a Healthy Luton”.
The evening was supported by the Near Neighbours Programme with the aim to bring archers across faiths and cultures to have a social evening together with medieval decor.
Around 60 archery novices with their families across faiths and cultures attended the event with members of Luton Council of Faiths and the Church Related Community Work (CRCW) Project Steering Group. All enjoyed a great spread with old games and archery, followed by an educational quiz about different faith traditions in connection with archery and the British history. The night ended with a Fairtrade maltesers and a yummy hot chocolate with plenty of cream and marshmallows topped with colourful sprinkles.
