Two men facing charges relating to the attempted murder of a man in Newport Pagnell appeared in Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court today.

Kieran Fowler, 23, of Radnor Road, Luton, was charged with one count of attempted murder and one count of Section 18 wounding with intent.

Alan Fowler, 48, of Lollard Close, Luton, was charged with one count of Section 18 wounding with intent.

The defence asked for section 11 reporting restrictions to be applied, which would have prohibited the publication of the men’s addresses, but this was denied.

Both men were remanded in custody and are due to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday, November 3 for a plea management hearing.

> The charges relate to an incident in Rowditch Furlong, Redhouse Park, Newport Pagnell, in which a 42-year-old man sustained life-threatening head injuries.

The victim remains in an induced coma after being transported to John Radcliffe Hospital by air ambulance at around 8am on Sunday morning.
