Bake sale banks on bringing in the cash for local charity supporting children

Partners and customers at the TSB in Barton Le Clay have raised £420 for their the CHUMS charity during an Easter bake sale, bringing the total raised in the last 15 months to £1,745.

The funds raised will be used to support children that have gone through trauma and bereavement.

Katherine Jukes, bank manager at the branch, said: “CHUMS is a vital part of our local community and we’re really proud to have them as our local charity partner.

“Our team in Barton Le Clay have worked hard putting in a lot of time and dedication by to make this Easter bake sale a success. We have really enjoyed our bake sale and it is fantastic to know the difference that our efforts will make.”

Sarah Coulthard, community fundraising manager at CHUMS said: “We are hugely grateful to TSB and its partners in Barton Le Clay. The money they are raising and the general support we’re getting is helping us to deliver really important services in Barton Le Clay. Having major businesses like TSB supporting us locally is a great way of making our community stronger.”
