Lloyds Bank staff raised over £300 for Children In Need at a rowathon on Friday, March 27.

Eight members from the George Street branch took part in the eight hour event.

Dionne Harrison, organised the event with Siobhan Ridley, she said: “We raised £370, we were truly amazed by our customer’s generosity.

“We want to thank everyone that took part in the rowathon, especially our branch manager, Dave Sammons, who started the rowathon at 9am and did a great job throughout the day, and we also want to thank Homegym UK for donating the rowing machines to us for the day.

“The atmosphere in the branch was amazing and customer’s really seemed to enjoy watching the rowing.”

Children In Need is the bank’s charity of the year, they will be holding other events for the charity throughout the year.
