Barton youngster Harry Tagg was lucky enough to be selected at random from more than 34,000 Junior Gunners to be Arsenal’s mascot at the Gunners defeat over Stoke City.

He described his experience in three words – “Amazement, happiness, pride” – and added: “It was such an honour to be a mascot for Arsenal. It was absolutely unforgettable, especially having my family at the match enjoying it with me.”

The eight-year-old met manager Arsene Wenger and went into the changing room where he was introduced to the entire squad. He even met Arsenal legend Charlie George.

He then led the team on to the Emirates pitch in front of 60,000 supporters alongside captain Santi Cazorla, who he had a kick about with before the game started.
