Much-loved broadcasters and top-class musicians are returning to Luton as the Music on Mondays series continues over the coming weeks.

After taking a break for Christmas, the concerts restart at Luton Library Theatre on Monday January 18.

Highlights of the season’s second half include a visit to Princess Helena College in the village of Preston on Sunday January 31 at 3pm for a concert of French piano music by Pacal & Ami Roge.

Alan Titchmarsh, whose love of music is almost as well known as his love of gardening, presents The Glory of the Garden, with favourite
readings and musical interludes on Monday February 8 at the Library Theatre.

The Choir of Clare College Cambridge make a rare appearance in Luton at Holy Ghost Catholic church on March 14 in a celebration of the church’s 50th anniversary.

And the final concert at the Library Theatre is The President’s Recital, presented by Radio 3’s Petroc Trelawny, with the internationally renowned soprano Susan Bullock, on March 21.

Booking for the Princess Helena concert will be essential as seats are limited. Call the box office on 01582 878100.

Music on Mondays is organised by Luton Music, a volunteer-run organisation that depends on the support of local people and organisations to keep the series running annually.

More details of these and the other concerts can be found on the Luton Music website.
