Big names line up for chance of glory at our Star awards
TWO big Luton names have thrown their hats into the ring for a chance of glory at this year’s Bedfordshire and Luton Business Excellence Awards.
Bury Park businessman Mohammed Nadeem and pump maker Hayward Tyler are among the first to enter this year’s Rising Stars.
Millionaire Nadeem is the owner of Nadeem Plaza in Dunstable Road and last year he won the Entrepreneur of the Year accolade, sponsored by Nisa Local.
This year Nadeem, who is a driving force behind the new Luton Bury-park Business Community lobby group, is going for the title of Enterprising Organisation of the Year and the Community Investment Award, sponsored by Nisa Local.
Hayward Tyler, in Kimpton Road, is an industrial pump maker with markets in China and the USA.

The company is going for the titles Business of the Year over 50 employees, sponsored by SA Law, and the Training and Development Award, sponsored by the University of Bedfordshire.
The annual Bedfordshire & Luton Rising Stars Business Excellence Awards have been organised for the last 19 years by Premier Newspapers. This year they are being held in association with Barclays.
