THERE are just days left for businesses across Bedfordshire and Luton to enter a major county-wide business awards scheme.
This year’s Rising Stars Bedfordshire and Luton Business Excellence Awards has 10 categories to go for but the closing date is Friday, October 5.
Awards sponsors are urging local companies to enter.
The awards, organised for the last 19 years by Premier Newspapers, are being held in association with Barclays.
Martin Bonner, regional business director, for Business Banking at Barclays, said: “2012 will go down in history as a year that saw the streets crowded for The Queen’s Silver Jubilee and our sporting heroes striving hard to make us all proud. Spirit, determination and hard work is also what makes a good business person and the Rising Stars Business Awards play an important part in making sure the entrepreneurial spirit is recognised. We have already seen some exciting entries, but there is still time to put your business forward to showcase your achievements.
Charles Little of sponsors Keens Shay Keens, which is behind the customer service award, urges those considering entering to give it that extra time to turn it into a quality award winning entry.

There will be an awards presentation evening on Thursday, November 8 at the Bedford Corn Exchange with a celebrity host ‘Show Me the Funny’ winner Patrick Monahan.
