Stopsley boutique Just Us celebrated its first birthday recently – much to the delight of co-owners Liz Bennett and Kim Terry (pictured left).

Swimming teacher Liz and nurse Kim take it in turn to man the tills Monday to Saturday.

They’re shut on Wednesdays when the Just Us roadshow visits sheltered accommodation so housebound residents can buy inexpensive gifts such as jewellery and old-fashioned children’s games for family and friends.

Liz believes one of the reasons for their success is getting the pricing right – most of the items they sell are under a tenner.

“We still do our other jobs and I think we’ve done really well to survive in this economic climate,” she said.
