NOAH thanks Luton airport

NOAH Enterprise coffers were swelled by £30,000 last year, thanks to being Luton Airport’s charity of the year.

Airport staff members undertook a range of activities to support the organisation which helps the homeless.

These included volunteering, a quiz night, clothes recycling, cake baking and carol singing,

A notable highlight was November’s Big Help week when a community-wide appeal encouraged local people to donate unwanted quality items for resale in NOAH shops.

NOAH chief executive Jim O’Connor said: “The association has been immensely rewarding in so many ways.

“Above all the involvement of the airport team has, on every occasion, been a cause for joy.

“The relationship has been first class and something we will treasure.”

Luton Airport spokeswoman Sian Pearce said: “ NOAH provides such a valuable service to the community and we are delighted to have raised such a fantastic amount to support their work.”
