Friends and family of former Luton Town footballer, Parys Okai, who died in October, are organising a football tournament on Sunday, May 25, to celebrate his life.
The Super P Cup is at playfootball.net, Stopsley, from 10am and will be followed by a night of music at Envy nightclub.
They will also be raising money on the day to get a combined headstone for Parys and his brother Tyrone, who died ten years ago.
A spokesperson for the event said: “When Parys died, they moved Tyrone’s headstone, so they could be buried together, we are raising money on Sunday for a headstone, for both of them, it will be custom made.
“We are hoping to raise between £1000 and £1500, all proceeds from the tournament and a contribution from the music event will go towards the headstone.
“It will be nice to get everyone together, celebrate their lives and raise money for a headstone for both of them.”
It costs £10 per player and the winning team will receive £500, to enter call John Barnett on 07818198099 or Dean Sinclair on 07545289013.
