Britain’s Biggest Pub Tour is heading to Luton’s Yate’s and The Red Lion on Friday, August 22,

The tour which is in aid of Variety, the children’s charity, will visit the Stonegate Pub company’s head office at Capability Green Business Park before moving to the town centre.

At 1.30pm, staff will walk, dressed in charity t-shirts, in a carnival procession from the head office to The Red Lion.

Toby Smith, chief executive of Stonegate Pub Company, said, “Britain’s Biggest Pub Tour is our biggest ever charity fund-raising initiative and has been a phenomenal success gaining huge support as it travels around the country. Now with it visiting Luton, it is the turn of the pub support staff to take it on its journey through our home town.

Our original fundraising target of £100,000 has been blown out of the water in just six weeks. Now in week twelve, we have raised over £170,000 and are well on our way to doubling our target.”

There will be a live performance by Pop Idol finalist, Jo Birchall, of her single All About Love, in aid of Variety at 4pm.
