Cheers, it's my birthday behind the bar!

Landlady celebrates 20 years with triple tipple

A trio of specially brewed beers are being unveiled in a High Town pub today as the landlady celebrates her 20th year behind the bar.

Bricklayers' Arms landlady Alison Taylor, 48, has already been presented with a signed Luton Town football shirt by club secretary Cherry Newbery in honour of the occasion.

And now she is looking forward to seeing a host of familiar faces when the pub opens its doors at midday today.

She said: "I've invited quite a few old regulars and bar staff. I'm hoping to see a few faces that drank here 20 years ago."

Anyone who used to drink or work at the Bricklayers' Arms is welcome to go along and celebrate with Alison and her partner Nick Dale.

But she is keeping the names of the ales brewed for the occasion a closely-guarded secret.
