The 3rd Marsh Farm’s 23rd Rose Queen took place last Wednesday at Woodcroft, Luton North’s Guiding Centre.
The honour this year went to 11-year-old Amber Ayres who was crowned by the retiring Queen 11-year-old Chloe Cook.
Amber was crowned in the year that Brownies celebrate their 100th birthday.
Brown Owl, Janet Potter, who was presented with flowers as a thank you for teaching the youngsters the dances over many weeks, said: “The Brownies entertained their parents and invited guests with country and maypole dancing.
“Parents were invited to take part in the dancing with their daughters.
“The Brownies worked very hard and their leaders are very proud of them.”
Those taking part were: Amber Ayres, Chloe Cook, Amber Haynes, Amelia Gravener, Amy Burton, Bethany Yeatman, Erin Kelly, Evie Brindle, Gracy-Mai Golby, Jasmine Golby, Jaylarne Elliott-Burton, Kayleigh Ash, Kirsty Tuffen, Lucy Sullivan, Macey Burden, Megan Seath, and Paige Sims.
