Luton’s Wellbeing Luncheon club, Dilkhush held a special event in order to mark theappointment of India’s new Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The club served a free lunch to all its members on June 2. All members celebrated the newly appointed Prime Minister of India, creating a shared cultural celebration for the elderly community here in England. The free afternoon lunch for the members was a great success, an overwhelming 40 people joined the celebrations.
The volunteers had decorated the tables elegantly with the Indian flags to create an ambience and all members were upstanding while singing the Indian National Anthem.
Kanekben Patel, Dilkhush Club Chairperson said: “It was lovely to be able to celebrate the occasion with other members of our community, a special thanks to all committee members who work voluntarily for their continued hard work and congratulations Mr. Modi.”
