Looking for a dead ringer

A local pub has enlisted the help of some of Britain's most famous faces as it launches a search for Luton's best lookalikes.

A-listers David and Victoria Beckham, Daniel Craig and even Her Majesty The Queen joined forces at Hungry Horse pub, the Biscot Mill on Biscot Road, to launch the competition, which will see four of the best British celeb lookalikes each winning themselves a family holiday worth £1,000.

The four lucky doppelgangers will also have the opportunity to bag themselves a listing on the Lookalikes Agency, a renowned celebrity lookalike and tribute act agency which is currently featuring in new TV series, Lookalikes.

To be in with a chance of winning a family holiday and the exclusive agency listing, budding celeb-a-likes just need to post a photo of themselves, or someone they know on the Hungry Horse Lookalikes Facebook page, www.facebook.com/HHlookalike/ before April 18.

Aubern Minnaar, general manager at the Biscot Mill, said: “We enlisted the help of some very recognisable British faces to launch our lookalikes competition and celebrate our new Best of British festival menu.

“If you think you’re a dead-ringer for a British celebrity and you could give our a-list line up a run for their money then we want to hear from you. It would be great to see a Luton resident take home the holiday and the chance of becoming the UK’s next top lookalike artist!”
