Love or loathe swimming?

Swimming is the largest participation sport in the UK but numbers have started to decline, Sport England has chosen Luton as one of 13 areas around the UK to conduct its research.

Helen Barnett, chief executive of Active Luton, said: “Unlike the national trend, here in Luton swimming is not in decline.

“This may be down to the fantastic facilities we have across the town and particularly at Inspire.

“However, we want to keep people swimming and entice even more people to our pools across the town. We’s like everyone - whether you love or loathe swimming - to take part in the survey.

“We are looking for ideas of small improvements that would make a big difference to getting Luton’s residents swimming.”
