A Luton student got a taste of stardom as she performed with the London Philharmonic Orchestra in front of 2,500 people.
Lucy Curry, 18, of Sundon Park Road, was handpicked to perform a duet with singer Kerry Ellis at the Nottingham Royal Concert Hall last Saturday, as part of a fundraising evening for the John Van Geest Cancer Research Centre.
Lucy, a Primary Education student at Nottingham Trent University, was selected by West End performer Kerry to share the stage with her, as both sang I Know Him So Well.
Lucy said: “It was a bit surreal performing with Kerry as she is very experienced. It was a great experience and being picked by her reaffirms to me that I can actually sing! I would love to one day perform in the West End as it has always been a dream of mine,”
Lucy’s father Mark added: “She was amazing, we are very proud of her.”
