POLICE have now completed their investigations into the case of an elderly woman suffering from dementia who was locked overnight in a Luton Borough Council passenger transport bus.
The driver allegedly ‘forgot’ there was still a passenger on board.
A police spokeswoman said: “Our files have been sent to the Crown Prosecution Service who will make a decision on whether there is to be a prosecution or not.”
The council’s chief executive Trevor Holden has offered an unreserved apology to the woman’s family.
