Young voices raised against child labour

The sweet young voices of singing sisters Nishat and Ishrat Jahangir filled Venue Central on Sunday at a dinner in aid of anti-child labour charity Young Minds 0rganisation.
The pair – pupils at Luton’s Downside Junior School – sang Children of the World to a rapt audience.
Aged just 10 and five respectively, they’re no strangers to public performance.
Nishat appeared at the Global Peace Unity conference last year and has won an award for her Islamic recitation.
Proud dad Abu, who runs a post office and newsagent in Hockwell Ring, said: “They are still so small and doing so well.”
The gala event raised more than £50,000 for YMO which is dedicated to preventing child labour and empowering young people to fulfil their potential.
