BREAKING: Woman pronounced dead at crime scene at Luton

Police are investigating after a woman died at a crime scene in Luton last night.

Luton murder timeline:

A Bedfordshire Police spokesman said: “We were called by the ambulance service shortly after 11.30pm yesterday (Monday) to Overstone Road, Luton, where a woman had suffered serious injuries.

“The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and officers from the Beds, Cambs and Herts major crime unit are treating the incident as suspicious.

“The area remains cordoned off to allow further enquiries to take place.”

And East of England spokesman said they had received a call just before 11.30am to reports of “a woman who was unconscious and not breathing”.

He added: “A rapid response vehicle, ambulance crew and ambulance officer attended.

“Sadly, the patient died at the scene.”

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call the major crime unit on 101.
