Cash stolen in Luton home burglary

Police are appealing for information after a woman was pushed to the floor during a burglary at her home in Luton.

A woman in her 60’s was pushed to the ground by two men who forced their way into her home on Northview Road, at 6:20pm on Friday, March 13. They stole a purple trolley containing cash and documents, it is believed that the men knocked on her door a short time before the incident.

One man is described as white, 5’7”, slim with short reddish hair, wearing dark clothes and spoke with a local accent.

Detective Constable Surfaz Hussain, investigating, said: “This was a particularly callous crime as the offenders stepped over the victim after pushing her to the ground in order to steal her trolley.

“I would urge anyone who has any information about this incident, or knows of the whereabouts of the trolley, to call police.”
