Did you see teenagers steal boy's bike?

Police are investigating after a young boy was robbed in Putteridge Road, Luton, on Thursday, March 2.

At around 3.30pm the boy had stopped to fix his bike chain when he was approached by two teenagers. They pushed him, stole his bike and made off towards Jansel House, in Hitchin Road.

The offenders are thought to be around 15-years-old. One boy was described as mixed race and around 5’10”. He was wearing a black Bench hooded top, black Nike joggers and black Nike trainers, with a black balaclava covering his nose and mouth.

The second boy is described as white and wearing blue jeans, a blue Nike tracksuit top and a blue parker jacket with a fur hood that he had up.

PC Chris Kelly, investigating, said: “This is a busy road and I would ask anyone that saw the incident or noticed youths acting suspiciously in the area to contact me.

“It was a frightening incident for the young victim and has understandably left him shaken. Robbery is a nasty crime and it will not be tolerated.

“The bike stolen was a white Carrera Valour Mountain bike, with a 16” frame. If anyone is approached by someone trying to sell a bike matching this description please get in touch.”
