A woman had her bag snatched and a necklace ripped from her neck as she sat outside Charlie Brown’s Night Club in Luton.
The victim had been out with friends and was sat on the floor outside the venue at about 11.30pm on September 26 when a woman approached and demanded her handbag.
The victim refused to hand over the bag which was attached to her wrist by a strap so the thief pulled the bag several times, twisting the victim’s arm.
She also snatched a chain from the victim’s neck and dropped it on the ground before taking the bag which contained a small amount of money and a Samsung mobile phone and running from the scene towards the railway station in Midland Road.
Det Con Dave Brecknock said: “We know there were a number of people at a party which was being held at the club and these people may well have witnessed the incident or may have vital information that could help identify the woman responsible.
“I would urge anyone who saw a white woman, approximately 19 years old with a slim build and wearing tight black dress, who was struggling with another woman outside the venue to contact the police as soon as possible.”
