A man was marched around his home at knifepoint by three people during an aggravated burglary on Thursday.
The 32-year-old was at home in Pirton Road with his one-year-old child when he answered the door at about 7.20pm to a woman and two men.
The group forced their way in and the victim ran into the living room and tried to close the door behind him, but the men forced the door open.
They threatened the homeowner with a knife and demanded cash.
The offenders, who are all described as black, marched the victim around the property looking for money before eventually leaving with a bag full of electrical items, a GStar black coat, keys and cash.
Det Con Dave Elias said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim who throughout his ordeal was concerned for the safety of his one-year-old child who was also in the property at the time. The victim received injuries to his face and leg during the incident but was able to contact the emergency services once the offenders had left the property.
“I urge anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious on Thursday night in the area of Pirton Road or anyone who has information relating to this incident to contact officers as soon as possible.”
The first offender is described as a black woman, 20 – 25 years old, medium build, 5”10” tall with dark hair which was tied up above her hair. She wore a white shirt and a dark waistcoat.
The second offender is described as a black man with a dark complexion, 20 – 25 years old, slim build, 6’2” tall with a slim build, shaved head and narrow face. He wore dark clothing.
The third offender is described as a black man with a dark complexion, 25 – 30 years old, stocky build, 5’11” tall and had stubble. He wore a dark baseball cap and dark clothing.
