At around 11.10pm police were called to reports of the sound of gunfire in the Biscot Road area of Luton. It’s believed that disorder broke out in Kennington Road before moving to the car park of the Biscot Mill pub, with those involved dispersing before officers arrived.

No-one was believed to be injured in the incident and no arrests have yet been made, + an axe was recovered from the scene.

Det Con James Mirza said: “We believe that shots were fired during an altercation between a group of men, and we’re appealing for anyone who witnessed the disorder to get in touch.

“We take firearms criminality very seriously and will not tolerate gun crime in our community.”
