Have you seen '˜dangerous' murder suspect in Luton?

A 'dangerous' man wanted on suspicion of a murder in Essex could be in Luton, say detectives.

Andrew McVicar, 33, from Basildon, is wanted on suspicion of murder, robbery and possession of a firearm in connection with an incident in The Drive, Hullbridge a week ago on Sunday, March 19.

57-year-old Timothy Smith, 57, died following the robbery and police are asking for the public’s help in tracing McVicar.

He is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, bald, of stocky build. He has a Scottish accent and tattoos on his forearms which read ‘HONOUR’ and ‘PRIDE’.

DI Daniel Stoten, senior investigating officer from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate said: “I need to speak to McVicar in connection with this incident and urge him to come forward before we catch up with him.

“He’s a dangerous individual and should not be approached. Anyone who has information on his whereabouts is asked to contact my team at Harlow Major Crime on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

McVicar is believed to have links to the Luton area in Bedfordshire and is thought to have been there as recently as Saturday, March 25.
