A couple’s house was burgled when they went out for just 90 minutes on a Saturday afternoon before Christmas.

Gold jewellery and a locket containing a photo and a lock of hair was stolen from the house in Willenhall Close on December 21.

The couple went out between 4pm and 5.30pm and returned to find their back window forced and the house untidy.

Items stolen included a 1940s white gold bracelet, a white gold Gucci watch with white face and diamonds, rose gold wedding band, a yellow gold locket containing the photo and lock of hair and diamond ring with unusual flower design Det Con Helen Toms of Luton CID would like to hear from anyone who has been offered this jewellery, or saw anything suspicious in the area of Willenhall Close at the time of the offence.
