Man accused of Club Cookies manslaughter appears in court

A man accused over the death of a Lithuanian outside a Dunstable club appeared in court this morning.

Cortney Batchelor, 21, of Paisley Close, Luton, is charged with manslaughter over the incident in which Tomas Juska, 24, died outside Club Cookies, Court Drive, at 3.20am on August 23.

During a short hearing at Luton Magistrates Court this morning Mr Batchelor, who was dressed in a grey suit and a white shirt, spoke only to confirm his name.

The case has been moved up to Luton Crown Court and will resume on November 3.

Mr Batchelor was bailed with conditions to report to Luton Police Station twice a week.
