Man charged over High Town stabbing

A man from Luton has been charged over a stabbing in High Town Road on Monday night.

Alexandru Popa, 29, who lives on High Town Road, was arrested at the scene of the incident and was charged yesterday with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a knife blade.

One man was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Popa appeared before Luton Magistrates’ Court today and has been remanded into custody pending a further court date.
