A man was seen leaving a house in Lynwood Avenue just after it was burgled.

The glass in the rear door of the house was smashed between 7pm and 7.15pm on December 17.

Items including a silver coin collection, jewellery, a kindle and a bottle containing change were taken.

As the property owner returned home at 7.15pm he spotted a man walking down the drive and running towards Mixes Hill.

This man is described as white, 5’9” tall with a full beard. He wore a dark coloured hat and a camouflage pattern jacket, which was mainly green in colour, possibly a European camouflage style.

Det Con Surfraz Hussain said: “Although it was dark when the burglary happened it is possible that other residents or motorists in the area noticed a man matching this description earlier in the day. I appeal to these people to contact the police and help this investigation.”

Anyone with information relating to this investigation can contact Det Con Hussain, in confidence, at Luton Police Station, on 01582 394435, or Bedfordshire Police on 101, or text information to 07786 200011.
