An investigation into a man’s death in Luton has turned into a murder hunt.
Atul Shah, 47, of Crescent Road, Luton, was found dead at his home address on Wednesday evening and officers from the Beds, Cambs, and Herts major crime unit (MCU) have now launched a murder investigation.
Det Insp Justine Jenkins said: “The victim was inflicted with serious injuries which have tragically resulted in his death, and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
“I am urgently appealing for anyone with information that could help us with our investigation to get in touch. In particular I’m keen to speak to anyone who saw or spoke to Mr Shah in the days leading up to his death, as well as his friends and those who knew him who have not yet spoken to police.
“I’m also appealing for anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the vicinity of Crescent Road in recent days. Any information, no matter how small, could be vital in helping us to establish the circumstances that led to Mr Shah’s death.”
Two men and two women, all from Luton, were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of murder, and have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Police officers are still in attendance at the scene while they carry out further investigations.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting Op Livingston.
