Police are investigating an act of ‘child on child bullying’ in which a young girl claims she had her clothes forcibly removed and hidden by another child.

Officers were called to the Snakes and Ladders indoor adventure playground in Houghton Regis, on Tuesday, resulting in the playground being shut down for several hours.

The playground was shut for several hours and an investigation has now been launched over the alleged incident.

A spokesman for Bedfordshire Police said: “We were called on Tuesday (February 16) at 11.38am to reports of a suspicious incident at a children’s play centre in Houghton Regis.

“Officers attended and enquiries were carried out, suspending business for part of the day.

“The centre was then able to remain open as usual.

“An investigation into the circumstances of the incident has been launched.”

A spokeswoman for Snakes and Ladders said: “We are all saddened that such an incident could occur in our playground and our thoughts are with the family.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.”
