Police are appealing for witnesses to the criminal damage

A 14-year-old was slapped during a robbery in Crawley Road yesterday.

The teenager was grabbed from behind, thrown to the ground and slapped at about 7pm.

The offenders then took the victim’s Samsung S4 before running from the scene towards Telford Way and in to Moor Park.

Both offenders are described as two youths with Asian appearances, approximately 16 years old, 5’8” tall with medium builds. The first wore a black hooded top, a woollen hat, dark trousers and carried a rucksack. The second was also dressed in black with a woollen hat and carrying a holdall.
