Theresa Gazard has been writing rhymes as long as she can remember. Now, with some encouragement from Luton Poetry Society, she has published her debut anothology Poems for the Girls.

The former Luton & Dunstable Hospital nursery nurse, 66, of Ravenbank Road in Stopsley has had them illustrated by her Finnish daughter-in-law Anne-Maria.

An ardent Hatters fan, Theresa has also written odes to her favourite football club.
