Three Barnfield academies have been recognised by a national body for levels of student improvement.
Barnfield Skills, South and West Academies each qualified for an SSAT (The Schools Network) Educational Outcomes Award by being in the top 20 per cent of schools nationally for progress made by students between their Key Stage 2 results at primary school and their GCSE results at age 16.
Barnfield South Academy won an additional award for being one of the top five schools nationally for attainment.
A recent in-depth analysis of Department for Education data on all state-funded schools in England by SSAT identified the successes.
Sue Williamson, SSAT chief executive, said that each of the three Barnfield Academies “should be congratulated for their exceptional achievement.”
Jackie Fisher, Interim CEO of the Barnfield Federation commented: “The Barnfield Federation is committed to the best educational experience and outcomes for our students. These awards are a testament to that commitment.”
