An innovative app designed to help people with their shopping has won a Microsoft BAME (Black Asian Ethnic Minority) competition for a sextet of Denbigh High students.
Year 10 computer science pupils Hannah Shah, Yusuf Hussain, Abdurrasheed Sadiq, Talal Zaber, Humza Khan and Saud Humayan are the brains behind ‘Feed me.’
Hannah explained: “We worked together to design the app and present it to Microsoft and 17 other participating schools.
“We won a big trophy for the school and a small trophy for each team member as well as Xbox games.”
Denbigh leader Saifi Aftab said: “Going to Microsoft and being shown around the campus was an amazing experience for the group.”
