Level Trust has been awarded £13,500 from the People’s Postcode Trust to help children living in poverty in Luton.

The charity helps the children get the most out of education, by providing them with the same resources as their peers.

The funding from the Trust has provided 500 children with winter coats, school shoes, stationary and learning resources.

Jane Malcolm, director of Level Trust, said: “We are delighted to have received funding from the Postcode Lottery.

“We rely on the support of businesses in our community to be able to deliver our work.

“If it was not for their generosity, many of the children we have supported would still be without.”

Head of charities at People’s Postcode Lottery, Clara Govier, said: “People’s Postcode Trust supports innovative and engaging projects of up to one year in length that bring a positive impact to local communities.

“Charities and organisations that work across England, Scotland and Wales are welcome to apply for funding from players of People’s Postcode Lottery at www.postcodetrust.org.uk.

“The work carried out by Level Trust to help children living in poverty in Luton is admirable and we are pleased that funding from players had enabled them to help 500 children.
