Toddington pub wins CAMRA award

A Toddington pub, that specialises in real ale, has won the local CAMRA Best New Pub award.
The Cuckoo, of Market Square, opened its doors to the public in October last year.
CAMRA is an organisation which campaigns for real ale and real cider.

Landlord Ben Martin wanted the focus of the pub to be on quality drinks, friendly atmosphere and traditional pub snacks, so there is no TV’s, no fruit machines and no juke boxes in the pub.

He was presented with the award by the Mayor of Luton at the Luton beer and cider festival.

The Landlord said: “We are really proud to have won the award and it is a great accolade to have. The pubs in Toddington are all great, it is good for the community to have pubs that offer something different.”
