Elderly woman injured following collision with stolen car

An elderly woman has been injured following a collision with a stolen car in Luton.

A stolen silver Audi TT was involved in the collision with a red Vauxhall Mokka on Tuesday (March 21) at around 4.35pm, on Cromer Way.

Three occupants then fled from the Audi and ran off across nearby fields. The occupants are described as white and in their late teens. One is described as wearing a black hooded top and tracksuit bottoms, while another was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a pale blue top.

The occupant of the other vehicle, an elderly woman, suffered minor injuries.

PC Russell Thompson of the Roads Policing Unit said: “The injured driver was left extremely shaken and we are urging anyone with information to come forward to help us find these callous individuals. We are also keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision.”
