Live it up with Luton Live

Pint-sized Brummie star Lady Leshurr

Pint-sized Brummie star Lady Leshurr

The Hat Factory will be buzzing with up-and-coming young talent next month when Luton Culture in association with Live Lounge Luton hosts Luton Live - The Concert.

This stunning showcase features young people making music for their peers and demonstrates the level of support for these gifted youngsters from the local entertainment scene.

Topping the bill are a trio of cutting edge performers – pint-sized Brummie star Lady Leshurr; Squeeks, who has a strong following and bright future in UK rapping; and fresh-faced 20-year-old Yungen who’s already worked with Tinchy Stryder and Chipmunk.

With more than 35,000 followers on Twitter and two and a half million hits on YouTube, Yungen typifies the importance of building up a core fan base.
Lady Leshurr has her own record label, Gutterstrut, and has appeared with Tinie Tempah, Wiley, Lethal B and Rotten. Her fierce flow enables her to ‘spit’ (rap) any music genre ranging form dance hall to hip hop.

Live Lounge Luton marketing executive Mike Murray said: “You’ll be startled that such a cute young woman can be such a dextrous and powerful vocalist. Listen closer and you’ll hear her hard-hitting lyrics beneath the wit and wordplay.”

Luton-based R&B group Soul Rhymaz will also be on stage.

Luton Live - The Concert takes place on Saturday, March 2. Doors open at 7pm for an 8:45pm sharp start.

Tickets cost £5.50 from the Hat Factory on 01582 878100.
